Dan Sylvester began his career training as a surveyor and a solicitor, before leaving for Berlin, where he spent several years working for an NGO focused on human rights law. He returned to London in 2011 and moved into venues and events, opening Oval Space, followed by The Pickle Factory and the Oval Office co-working space. From there he branched out further, launching the London Whiskey Festival and the culturally iconic Fashion Sundays, opening the Oval Space Art Gallery, and running pop-up dining on the terrace that helped launch the likes of Pizza Pilgrims and Forza Win.
